Harry Potter is an amazing series of books and films which inspired me to create this design. The left hand is definitely better than the right but that's because I am right handed.

GALAXY!
So...here's another design that I have done.
I applied a base coat of a dark blue/black and then used tools like sponges, cotton wool pads and sticks and tooth picks. I used the tooth picks and a white nail varnish pen to paint the white dots onto my nails. I added the yellow shooting star on the thumb and tried to vary the white dots on each finger. The multi-coloured effect of the nebula was created by adding many layers of nail varnish to the nail using a brush or cotton wool.

Friends
Friends, the TV show has not been on for 8/9 years but I love it. I have painted on my nails the friends writing but also the peep hole and the coffee cup at Central Perk.
I painted all my nails with a dark blue/black colour except the thumb on my right hand which I painted purple. I used my nail art pens to create the writing and also the coloured dots. I also used them for the coffee cup and for the peep hole outline.
(BTW sorry about the black around the nail on my finger)

Fruitilicious
I first put down a base coat to protect my nail. I then added a colour to the tip of my nail for the kiwi, apple and orange fruit nails, letting it dry before adding other colours using my nail pen. I added a red base coat for the strawberry with white dots and a zig zag pattern at the top. The melon has a pink base with a white and green strip on nail varnish. I added some green shimmery lines and some black, tear drop shapes.
I hope you guys enjoy doing these summer nails :)

Wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey...stuff
These nails above were the best because it was with my right on my left. These were created more recently and the others a year ago. On the nails above, I created a gradient styled DW using a sponge, a tardis on the first finger using the nail pens, a weeping angel on the middle using the pens, the 11th doctor's suit on the ring finger and the sonic screwdriver on the little finger.
These nails were more to do with the 10th doctor. I created a dalek (sort of) on the thumb, a cyberman on the first finger, an adipose from the episode 'Partners in Crime' with dona noble, a gas mask from a 9th doctor episode called 'The empty child' and the words 'bad wolf' on the little finger.
I hope these inspire you to do some doctor who nails for the 50th anniversary :D

Pre-spring/summer nails.
These nails were designed as a pre-spring/summer (which tbh hasn't really happened yet because of this cold weather).
The top picture is with my right painting onto my left (easier because I am right handed) and the bottom was using my left hand on my right. I began by painting a clear coat and letting it dry. I used a white, sparkly nail varnish for the tips of my nails (which, recently I found out to be called a lunule). Using a brown coloured nail varnish pen, draw branches coming from anywhere on your nail. I started at the tips and grew them from there. Then add any coloured flower over the top of the branches. I used a pink to show contrast. When the flowers are still wet, add a small blob of the brown nail varnish into the centre. Once it is 100% dry, apply a clear coast so the design lasts longer.
Instead of doing the white tips, apply any coloured background before adding the brown branches.
Well...I hope the weather starts to get warmer and sunnier instead of it being cold and wet. These nails would then be seasonal :)

Chaos Walking
Chaos Walking is a trilogy of books by Patrick Ness. They are my favourite books of all time. I created these nails after I finished all three of the books because they inspired me.
I used a neutral base coat which was a light colour so I could add another darker colour on top. I then added the designs of all three of the books which were a knife, the letter 'A' and a circle two circles above it. To create the words I used my black nail varnish pen and a steady hand.
I used my left hand to write on these nails so they went a little bit messy!
They were very fun to make and I definitely recommend reading the trilogy.
